Gav Thompson
The original fat man walking. Mate of Nick’s from school aged 8, and Emma’s from University days. Titular leader of the Fat & Slow group.

Matt Whitticase
Fellow fatty who weighed in behind Gav when he heard about the 52 mile challenge. A veteran walker though you’d never guess by his girth.

Nick Price
Childhood friend of Nick’s. Ex Farmer, so used to the outdoor life, and possesses some annoyingly long legs. Will complete with ease.

Libby Little
Token Aussie Bird. Old mate of Gav’s from his Sydney days. Doesn’t yet know the rest of the crew, though that will soon change after a few rounds of “vassing-up”.

Spencer Burton
Spencer is better know as Aubery to his friends. Aubery is married to one of Emma's old school friends. Stubbornly insists on doing the walk in his wellys.

Karen Westall
Leader of this group. Karen is Emma’s sister and Georgia’s Aunty. Has rasied an obscene amount of money for the charities concerned.

Martin Westall
Karen’s husband. Martin is undoubtedly the fittest member of the whole crew, and is threatening to run the 52 miles.

Amy Tattersall
Amy’s family have been friends with Emma’s family for years. Amy used to babysit Georgia. Amy is bringing the average age of the crew down by at least half.

Graham Anderson
Grassa is extremely fit. But he also has very short legs which cancels that out. Grassa signed up to walk the walk as his sister had Spinal Muscular Atrophy.

Nick Macpherson
Leader of this group & Georgia’s dad. Nick/Ernie/Nigel/Chippy has a ridiculous number of names, reflecting his diverse and eclectic groups of friends. Some of whom are represented here. Will have his hands full managing this rabble.

Tony Whitten
Tony is an old University mate of Ernie & Emma’s and was Georgia’s godfather. All eyes are on Tony to see if he goes too large on the first night. Adds real diversity to the crew.

Geoff Butterfield
The Tall Man Walking. Another Uni mate from Swansea. Geoff is exceptionally fit and exceptionally tall. An irritating combination for the rest of the crew.

Nick Jones
The Rude Man Walking. Jonesy is an old mate of Ernie’s and is a rude bugger. Will be interesting to see if he can keep his tourettes in check for at least the first few miles.

Toby Macpherson
Obviously the boss here. Toby is Nick’s brother and Georgia’s Uncle. The crew will be looking to Tobes for morale boosting comedic activities.

Tanya Macpherson
Toby’s wife. Her main duty over the 52 miles is to keep Toby in check.

Emma Macpherson
Georgia’s mum. Avid walker, though with her trusty retriever Mumbles “off games” with paw issues, not sure she will be leading the pack.

Selina Boyd
Friend of the Macphersons, and local Berkshire resident. Eyebrows were raised as she is about as off brief as you can be from “ Fat” & “Men”, but we let her in all the same.
